Tiny pieces of information have been released concerning the Mass Effect series, Bioware have already confirmed that they are working on the next title, but Chris Priestly, Community Co-oardinatar at Bioware issued statements on the next Mass Effect instalment.
The next game in the series will not be titled Mass Effect 4, nor will it feature protagonist of the Mass Effect trilogy Commander Shepard. Here’s what Chris Priestly had to say:
“That doesn’t mean that events of the first three games and the choices you made won’t get recognized, but they likely won’t be what this new story will focus on, The Mass Effect universe is so rich that we are not limited to a single track when coming up with a new story.”
So there you have it, the much loved Commander Shepard shall not be making a comeback, and the Mass Effect universe will never be the same without him, but I am curious as to what Bioware can come up with, but that will be something to look forward too.
As of yet platforms of release state has not been announced from the next Mass Effect game.
